1. Data Collection

SushiCount does not collect or store sensitive personal data. All data entered by users (such as name, game stats, or sessions) is managed securely via Firebase and is used exclusively for the operation of the application. For purchases made via our website, payment information is handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers or sensitive financial details on our servers.

2. Services Used

The app uses the following third-party services to provide its features:

• Firebase Core: for configuration and integration of Firebase services.
• Firebase Firestore: to securely store essential data such as sessions, statistics, and game information.
• Firebase Authentication: to allow user login and account management.
• Sign in with Apple: used only to authenticate the user. No additional personal information is shared.
• Sign in with Google: used solely for authentication. No additional data (such as name or email) is used for marketing or analysis purposes.
• Manual Registration (email and password): credentials entered are managed securely by Firebase Authentication. We do not store passwords in plain text.
• Guest Access (Anonymous): allows you to use the app without providing personal information. A unique ID is generated that is not associated with any user identifying data. In this mode, we cannot recover your ID, so if you disconnect or reinstall the app, all data will be lost.
• RevenueCat: used to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases within the mobile apps. Payment information is not collected or saved; all transactions occur via Apple and Google.
• Stripe: used to process payments for credits and subscriptions purchased via our website. Stripe handles payment data securely; we only retain a reference to the transaction status and customer ID.

3. Advertising and Analytics

SushiCount does not use any advertising system (such as Google AdMob) and does not implement analytics or tracking tools (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics). The app is completely ad-free and does not monitor user behavior.

4. Stored Data

Data that may be stored includes:

• Uniquely generated User ID (UID) via Firebase
• Stripe Customer ID (for web purchases) and transaction history
• Username or alias chosen by the user
• Game statistics (e.g., sessions won, pieces counted, records)
• Data of multiplayer sessions created or joined

This information is necessary exclusively to allow the correct functioning of the app and is not used for other purposes.

5. Data and Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app at any time by accessing Profile > Settings > Delete Account. This results in the permanent and immediate removal of data from Firebase (Firestore and Authentication).

Alternatively, you can request the deletion of your account by contacting our support via email at sushicounterapp@gmail.com.

Uninstalling the app also removes any local data present on the device.

6. Data Retention

Data is retained only for the time necessary to provide the app services. Once the account is deleted, data is permanently removed from the servers. SushiCount does not keep external copies or backups.

7. Data Sharing

User data is not shared, sold, or transferred to third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared with payment processors (such as Stripe) solely for the purpose of processing payments initiated by the user.

8. Security

SushiCount uses Firebase Security and advanced security protocols to protect stored data. All connections occur via HTTPS, and sensitive information is managed according to Google, RevenueCat, and Stripe security practices.

9. Children

The app is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated over time to reflect technical or regulatory changes. In the event of significant updates, an in-app notification will be displayed.

12. Cookie Policy

The SushiCount website exclusively uses Technical Cookies and technologies strictly necessary for the operation of the service. We do not use profiling or third-party cookies for advertising or marketing purposes.

What we use:

• Session and Authentication Cookies (Firebase): Necessary to maintain user login and protect the account during navigation.
• Security and Payment Cookies (Stripe): Stripe may use essential cookies to prevent fraud, detect bots, and ensure that payment transactions are secure.

Since these cookies are essential for providing the requested service (purchasing credits or accessing the account), prior user consent is not required under current regulations (ePrivacy Directive and GDPR). By continuing to browse or making a purchase, the user accepts the use of these technical tools.
